Work Exchange Program student are an important part of the Ballet Co.Laboratory community. Students work the front desk in exchange for credit towards tuition and classes. Each shift is 3-4 hours during weekdays and/or weekends depending on class schedules and availability.

Tasks include but are not limited to…

  • Checking in students for class

  • Answering questions

  • Assisting parents and students as needed

  • Answering the phone and general e-mail

  • Updating studio bulletin boards and flier frames

  • Sweeping/mopping the lobby and bathrooms

  • Taking out the trash

  • Other administrative tasks as assigned by the director

Work exchange students are 16 years of age or older, are passionate about dance and are interested in helping to build the BCL community. The Student and Directors will agree on a set shift schedule. Students under the age of 18 must have signed consent of a parent/guardian to work in the Work Exchange Program.

We understand that being a dance student is not financially accessible to everyone. This program gives students the opportunity to invest in their dance training through the BCL community and learn new administrative skills!
