Jake Fitzpatrick is PhD candidate in music and dance theory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed his M.A. in music at the University of Minnesota, and B.A. in dance and music at St. Olaf College. His research lies at the intersection of music and dance, and focuses on Balanchine, Stravinsky, Laban Movement Analysis, and embodied cognition. When not playing piano for Ballet Co Laboratory, he enjoys taking class with the company.
