TRAINEE PROGRAM
Trainees are Advanced Level students, ages 15-22, fully enrolled in the Performing Arts Division at Ballet Co.Laboratory. They study alongside the Company three to four days a week in addition to their own rehearsals and classes, and participate in all season productions and outreach performances.
Auditions for Ballet Co.Laboratory’s Trainee Program occur annually. Dancers may select to audition in-person or via video audition. Please see more details below.

If you are unable to attend an in-person audition, we accept video auditions. Videos should be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo.
Videos must be no longer than 5 minutes.
There is no audition fee.Video auditions must include
- Short ballet center combination
- Short center pointe combination
- Performance footage (if possible) -

The Trainee II Program includes an Artist Driven Internship as a work exchange tuition program.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays Trainee II dancers may be called to Company class and rehearsal from 10:00am - 2:30pm, this will be determined on a weekly basis as needed for rehearsals
