Molly Winker is from Bloomington, Minnesota and began dancing at the age of 5. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, lyrical, and hip-hop. At age eighteen, Molly moved to Salt Lake City to be a part of the ballet program at the University of Utah. While there she was under the instruction of Calvin Kitten, Michael Bearden, James Ady, Maggie Wright Tesch, Jan Fugit, Jay Kim, and Melonie Buchanan Murray, among others. She performed in works by Katie Scherman, Shayla Botts, Jay Kim, Rene Deluvy, and Brent Schneider. Molly graduated in May 2017 with a BFA in Ballet and minor in Health from the University of Utah. In 2017 she moved back to the Twin Cities and danced the 2017-2018 season as an apprentice artist with St. Paul Ballet. In 2018 she joined Ballet Co.Laboratory as one of their founding members. Since moving back to Minnesota some of her favorite pieces to perform in have been Gentle Human, Locked Key, and Nutcracker in Wonderland (as the Caterpillar) by Zoé Emilie Henrot, as well as Shifts by Kinsun Chan. Molly enjoys working as the Outreach Assistant at Ballet Co.Laboratory and heads the partnership with Girl Scouts River Valleys. She is excited to continue to be a part of Ballet Co.Laboratory in their second season!
