Anna Goodrich has been teaching jazz and ballet for over 35 years. Among other schools, she taught for Saint Paul Ballet for several years and is director of the ballet program at Lake Harriet Dance Center. Anna began her ballet training with Lóránt and Anna Andaházy in St. Louis Park and her continued study includes master classes with a number of artists, including Gabriela Komleva of the Kirov Ballet. Anna has received extensive teacher’s training in the Vagonova syllabus, most recently studying with Carol Roderick, director of the dance department at Hartford University.
This summer Anna will be teaching two teen/adult weekend workshops. The July workshop will concentrate on the Luigi jazz and the other on classical ballet repertoire. She studied extensively in jazz technique with, among others, Luigi in New York and at Giordano's Jazz Dance center and Lou Conte's Dance Studio in Chicago. Anna was honored to dance in some of Luigi's choreography with Pasticcio Dance Ensemble directed by Tanya Picard. She lives by Luigi's mantra, 'never stop moving' and is thrilled to share this part of her experience with BCL dancers this summer.
