Chiara Morales
Teaching Artist
Chiara Morales (she/her) is a native Minnesotan. Her formative dance years were spent at the Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts, in Winona, MN, with Tammy Schmidt (formerly Houston Ballet)and Misty’s Dance Unlimited, in Onalaska, WI, with Kennet Oberly (Royal Danish Ballet) and Larissa Stintsova Oberly (Estonian National Ballet.)
She attended the University of Oklahoma, studying everything from nutrition, anatomy, and body science to ballet history, pedagogy, and repertoire. She graduated cum laude, receiving a BFA in Ballet Performance and a Pilates Certification from Physical Mind Institute, NYC.
Chiara’s dance career has taken her across the United States and beyond. She performed with Oklahoma Festival Ballet for four years, danced with NWA Ballet Theatre for three seasons, and retired from Ozark Ballet Theatre as a guest principal. She has performed in countless classical and contemporary works such as Swan Lake, Cinderella, Pas de Quatre, The Firebird, Immortal Beloved by Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye, and Opaque, Unfazed by Trey McIntyre. Chiara has had the pleasure of training with American Ballet Theater in New York, Ilya Kozadayev of Houston Ballet, Jamy Meek of Hubbard Street and Nederlands Dans Theater, and Roser Muñoz of the National Ballet of Marseille of Roland Petit during an international performance in Barcelona, Spain.
Chiara loves teaching. She believes dance is for everyone and strives to encourage the artist in each of us to grow. She has been a Ballet and Pilates instructor for over six years, and is excited to be back with BCL for another!
