Olivia Smith

Teaching artist

Olivia Smith (she/her) started dancing in the Chicago suburbs and went on to train with the Joffrey Ballet, Ballet West, and Ballet Chicago. She spent two years as a Professional Division student at Pacific Northwest Ballet where she performed in George Balanchine's The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Sleeping Beauty, and Jerome Robbins's Fanfare. In 2021, Smith redirected her career focus to achieving a Food Science degree at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, while staying connected to her love of dance through student dance organizations. She now works at a baking company that produces baked goods for retailers nationwide, specializing in cookies and rice crispy treats. She is excited to share her passion for dance with Ballet Co. Laboratory!
