TuITION, REGISTRATION & FEES

The School of Ballet Co.Laboratory Office will complete all registration for the Pre-Professional Program. The “Register” button below will open an email to our School Manager Anna Betz, who will complete your registration. Registration opens July 5, 2023. There is a one-time $40 Registration Fee due at the time of registration in addition to the first month’s tuition. This fee will be waived for students who register before August 13, 2023.

Tuition for the 2023/24 season can be paid monthly or semesterly. For monthly payments, a form of electronic payment will be kept on file and will be automatically charged on your choice of the 1st or 15th of the month. Tuition paid on the 1st or the 15th of a month is tuition paid for that month (for example, Tuition payment on October 15th is paying for October’s Tuition). Semesterly payments must be paid by check before or on the first day of each semester – September 7, 2023 and January 4, 2024. Semesterly payments receive a 2% discount. Credit card must be kept up to date on your Mindbody Profile. For tuition paid 1-7 days late, there will be a $25 late fee automatically added to tuition for that month/semester. For tuition paid 7-14 days late, there will be a $50 late fee automatically added to tuition for that month/semester.

If a dancer decides to cancel the program for any reason, a written notice must be submitted to the School Manager (Anna Betz, abetz@balletcolaboratory.org) 30 days prior to the next tuition payment date (i.e. if your monthly tuition payment is deducted on the 15th of each month, and you submit a written cancellation notice on October 16th, your November Tuition will still be processed on 11/15 and any subsequent payments would discontinue.) All tuition payments, once paid, are non-refundable.

All Pre-Professional Students at the School of Ballet Co.Laboratory have the opportunity to perform in professional, main stage productions with the Company of Ballet Co.Laboratory. Students in Beginning Ballet, Level 1, and Level 1.5 may opt-in to these two performances, as repertoire (rehearsal) will take place every other week outside of regular class time. Student in Level 2 will be automatically cast in both performances. All casts will be double cast. There will be a Performance Fee for each performance that helps defray the cost of costume construction, tailoring, and cleaning. This fee will be between $60-70 per performance. Late submissions of Performance Agreements and Fees will result in a $10 late fee.

2023/24 Season Performances open to Beginning Ballet-Level 2 Students:

Nutcracker in Wonderland | December 2023 | The Cowles Center
The Little Prince | May 2024 | The E.M. Pearson Theatre

As a non-profit, we rely on Parent/Guardian Volunteers to make our productions a success. The semesterly $70 Volunteer Fee will be waived for Parents/Guardians who volunteer a minimum of 2 shifts per semester (per dancing family) during productions and events. Parents/Guardians who are unable to volunteer or choose not to volunteer will pay the semesterly Volunteer Fee after each production. This fee will be automatically charged post-production on Mindbody.

UNIFORM

Clean and properly fitting level attire ensures success in the ballet class. Long hair must be neatly secured back from the face in a bun, french twist or any variation thereof - claw clips are not secure enough for the physical demands of a ballet class. Shorter hair must be pulled away neatly from the face, secured with pins, a headband, or strong hair products. No large jewelry or wrist watches are allowed, though small stud earrings are acceptable.

We are blessed to have a dance store in Saint Paul - Grand Jeté! Please place your order with Grand Jeté at (651) 227-0331 or attend our Open House on August 12 and meet the Grand Jeté team in person to purchase your uniform.
