Rosa Prigan (she/her) is from Columbus, Ohio and began her training at BalletMet Columbus. She obtained her BFA in Dance Performance from Butler University, where she was a recipient of the Director's Award for Choreographic Excellence and the Margaret S. Rosenblith Scholarship. She trained at a variety of summer programs including Ballet Chicago, Cincinnati Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in New York City, and the American Ballet Theatre.
Rosa has danced a variety of roles in both classical and contemporary ballets such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments, as well as the title roles in Zoé Emilie Henrot's Carmen in the 1920's and Genevieve Waterbury's Emily Dickinson: The Untold Verse. She was also honored to create the role of the Cheshire Cat in Ballet Co.Laboratory's Nutcracker in Wonderland.
In addition to dancing, Rosa has a decade of teaching experience with all ages and skill levels. She holds certifications for Progressing Ballet Technique© and is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She has completed training for Character Dance through the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia. Rosa is passionate about cultivating a strong technical foundation and attention to detail that serves dancers in any style they may perform, as well as offstage as people in the world.
Rosa also works as Ballet Co.Laboratory's Communications Manager to share Ballet Co.Laboratory's mission with the greater Twin Cities and beyond. She is thrilled to be a founding member of Ballet Co.Laboratory since its inception in 2018.
